What is yoga?

Yoga is more than just a series of poses. It allows people to let go of the ego and competition as they connect with their breath, aligning the mind and body. The practice has been around since 400 BC ~ and now neuropsychological and medical research is proving its health benefits.

CLASS EXPERIENCE

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that allows for sitting on the floor, although a chair may be used. Yoga is practiced barefoot.

Do you supply mats?

Limited mats, bolsters, blocks, blankets and straps are available for use. We do have quality mats, blocks, straps and bolsters for sale. We recommend you bring what best suits your practice to class.


I’m not flexible. How can I start?

Anyone can start a yoga practice, but it is recommended that it is done with a trained and experienced teacher to prevent injury. The more frequently you practice, the more flexible you will become!


Are there men in classes?

Yes. Athletes, seniors, teens and couch potatoes will benefit from yoga.

Can my daughter join me in a class?

We often have family members come together to classes. The class is geared toward adults, but we allow parents to make their best judgment based on their knowledge of their child. In addition, passes can be shared.
